Wedding Greetings from SevaFriend Ministry
on behalf of the causes you care most about

WHAT IS SEVA?
SEVA is a word from the ancient Sanskrit, a language considered by Indian holy people to be sacred. The exact meaning of Seva is "selfless service". The Western equivalent is "volunteer". The concept of the unconditional "gift of service" is so highly regarded in Hinduism that it is used as one of their four devotional paths to enlightenment, namely Karma Yoga. However, this is actually a universal practice in faith traditions across the globe; it bespeaks our natural desire to be helpful to others and receive our rewards deep in our hearts.

WHAT IS SevaFriend?
It has been my way to practice Seva throughout my life. For those who would like to join me in this service as part of their celebration, I am committed to recycling a part of the fee towards their favorite charitable organization related to animal or earth-friendly causes.

Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circles
of compassion to embrace all living creatures.

For the Celebrants

HOW DO WE WORK TOGETHER IN A SevaFriend CEREMONY?
Very simply.  Twenty-seven percent of the officiation fee will be donated to your favorite organization. It is an honor and privilege for me to join two people in matrimony, and I am even more thrilled to help create long-lasting memories of which both you and I can be very proud.

PROTOCOLS
I ask that the celebrants and their chosen organization be connected in some way. Whether it is through donation or volunteer activity, your commitment to your favorite earth-friendly and kind-hearted organization must be genuine, including being on the organization's mailing list. You are welcome to the tax-deduction as appropriated by the charity.

For Charity Organizations

NATURE OF SevaFriend's DONATION TO THE CHARITY
Much of my Ministry is based on Seva principles, and in my passion to support animal rescue and environmental/conservation organizations, I wish to donate 27% of my wedding celebrants' fee.

HOW DO WE WORK TOGETHER IN A SevaFriend CEREMONY?
1) Please reach your supporters by including in your marketing the SEVAFRIEND WEDDING MINISTRY  public relations brief, which I will supply to you. Please note that it is not my policy to ask for others' email lists; I leave the responsibility for benefactor communications to the charity receiving the donation.

2) The celebrants must have a relationship with your organization, whether it is through a membership or volunteer work, or even just through being placed on your mailing list from a one-time donation.

3) When I receive the celebrants' fee, 27% will be donated to your organization. I am so thrilled to help create long-lasting memories of which the celebrants, your organization, and I can be very proud.

May the tree of our life be firmly rooted in the soil of love.
Let good deeds be the leaves on that tree.
May words of kindness form its flowers,
and may peace be its fruits.
