GATHERING DONATIONS
GATHERING DONATIONS: Healing Newtown Art Space
Posted on Monday, April 08, 2013 11:56 PM
Greetings to all my friends & colleagues,
A sudden development ~ Do you have yarns or fabrics that you no longer want and would like to donate? I am driving up to Newtown CT this Friday the 12th on behalf of their healing project called "Healing Newtown Art Space". I will be transporting yarn donations from Long Island's Paumanok Weaving Guild and would like to know if any of you could take this opportunity to de-clutter your closets and forgotten corners of good craft projects, yarns, and fabrics. (Spring is the PERFECT time to de-clutter!)
The Art Space is using craft and art to help heal their townsfolk and children. They now have several looms and would like to start quilting as well. Anybody have a quilting frame? Or lap-quilting frame? If you and I are too distant from each other, and if you are so moved, you can send your donations to them.
Please go to their beautiful website for more information:
If you would like to rendezvous with your donations before Friday, please contact me ASAP at RevLeslie@RevLeslie.net or RevLeslie@CascadeOfLight.com.
Thanks so much everybody.
Be Well & Be Blessed ~ ~
